2013 Travel Photographer of the Year – Best Shot

2013 Travel Photographer of the Year – Best Shot

This yearly photo competition does not only recognize travel photographers but also serves as the venue where appreciators of travel and photography can look into various countries of the world – in a unique perspective.

From the summit of the Alps to the wild of Botswana, these talented photographers share to us the most stunning account about peoples, culture and nature. It’s like being able to get a free ride through the mind and actually see and feel how it is to be ‘somewhere out there’.

Travel photography does not grow in the heart over night. Many travel lovers have dared to take the off-beaten path just to see even the rarest flicks of humanity and the world in order for them to show and share stories through frozen motions and moments.

Children portraits that flaunts welling eyes – a place where you haven’t been to but sometimes remind you of the real core of human race… that we are after all, one tribe.

First-hand experience will always be the best but if not for travel photos that give us the privilege to see the places and people from wherever we are, we will never have a glimpse of the great diversity of this glorious planet.

Enjoy the marvellous shots from the photographers announced as winners and runner-ups for this years’ Travel Photographer title.
